Mr. Ian Grant, Asia Pacific Regional Sales Manager for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, presided over the launch, together with the executive team from Zagame Automotive Group Pty Ltd, the sole dealership for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in the state of Victoria, Australia.

Speaking at the press conference on the day of the unveiling, Mr. Bobby Zagame, Managing Director of Zagame Automotive Group Pty Ltd said, “Melbourne already accounts for almost one-third of economic growth in Australia, and more than 10% of global UHNWIs are slated to invest in Melbourne in the next 10 years – with an increasingly younger demographic becoming more apparent than ever. With this new lifestyle-themed facility, Zagame Automotive Group are well-poised to continue towards a prosperous and exciting future ahead.”

Mr. Ian Grant added, "Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has recognised the Zagame family's success in Melbourne, an authentic testament to their hard work and meticulous attention to detail in everything they do.”

"Like Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Zagame Automotive Group strives for excellence and their constant focus is on outstanding customer service. Rolls-Royce is delighted to be partnering this highly regarded luxury retailer here," Mr. Grant said.

Showroom Showcase

The new showroom, strategically located along Swan Street in Richmond, will begin operations in May 2017.

Housed in a purpose built, innovative space, the new facility represents the new pinnacle of luxury retail in Melbourne, with a ground-floor car showcase, a six-car display space in a beautiful firstfloor showroom, undercover customer parking as well as 15 long-term car storage spaces exclusively for customers.

Reflecting on the Zagame tradition of providing sublime customer service, a hallmark that has enabled the group to manage a number of prestigious brands under its portfolio, the showroom also features a fully-stocked bar, a full-service café and lifestyle-themed elements in their Bespoke lounge to match the chic sophistication of the city perfectly.

A Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Ownership Services Centre is also housed within the premises, where qualified technicians ensure fast, accurate servicing and maintenance on all vehicles with three dedicated service bays for Rolls-Royce vehicles.

Fashion Fast Forward

Often touted as the fashion capital of Australia, Melbourne is the ancestral home of Australia’s first ateliers and fashion designers. More than 200 years on, it remains one of the most stylish cities in the world.

Rolls-Royce and the world of high fashion have long been bound by a common philosophy – taking the finest materials and crafting them into the most exquisite and desirable luxury goods as expressions of their clients’ taste and lifestyle.

The new House of Rolls-Royce in Melbourne was hence a natural choice for the Australian debut of ‘Dawn – Inspired by Fashion’, a collection of Bespoke super-luxury Drophead Coupés that express the spirited youthfulness of Rolls-Royce Dawn as an attitude it shares with some of the world’s most celebrated, avant-garde fashion designers. “‘Dawn – Inspired by Fashion’ with its timeless style and energetic contrast presents a vibrant new way forward for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. This is exactly why we chose to debut this car at our new showroom launch with the only example currently available in Australia,” said Mr. Zagame at the unveiling of the new car.

‘Dawn – Inspired by Fashion’ One of one in Australia

In creating ‘Dawn – Inspired by Fashion’, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Design Director Giles Taylor and his team selected the neutral canvas of Andalusian White upon which to base three vibrant roof colours, Mugello Red, Cobalto Blue or Mandarin to create the boldest of statements. An exquisite hand-painted coachline then drapes over the curve of the car’s hip as the line flows backwards along the car, reflecting the identical splash of colour provided when the soft-top roof is in place.

On opening Dawn’s coach doors, a contemporary Arctic White and Black interior colour scheme is accented by matching roof accents. The black leather of the seats is further enhanced with careful embroidery of the headrests, as well as the stitching and piping around the seats. Seamless stitching, a highly-complex craft technique from the world of fine tailoring, is applied to the steering wheel to ensure the perfect line joins the two colours of leather around the rim.

The Rolls-Royce ‘Dawn – Inspired by Fashion’ revealed for the first time to Australian audiences today is finished in a classic combination of Andalusian White and Mugello Red. This limited edition commissioned Collection car will close its order books in May 2017, making this piece the only one available in Australia.
