With five fantastic cars to choose from in this category, it was hard for the judges as well as the readers' votes to see eye to eye on this one. When it comes to looks and sheer beauty, there's no doubt hat the dramatic looking R8 Spyder will walk away with it but this category is not only about beauty but also the performance, the emotive appeal of the car and the ability to tickle one's senses. When it comes to emotive appeal, no other brand has it as much as the Prancing Horse and it is for this reason that the California takes the honour in this class. Sure, the California might not be the most beautiful or the fastest Ferrari out there but this car just oozes sex appeal and intoxicate the senses. It's not pretty but it looks dramatic nonetheless and the interior feels worthy of a million dollar car. The 4.3-litre V8 is good for 453 Italian stallions and coupled with the lightning quick seven-speed twin clutch gearbox, it endows the California with bona fide supercar like performance. The folding metal hard top design might give it a slightly fat rump but it is certainly more practical than the canvas top option. The California is user friendly enough for the Missus to go to high tea sessions in but it also goes well enough to wear the Prancing Horse badge proudly.
