For over 60 years, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has been offering business-friendly commercial vehicles with low total cost of ownership, catering to the day-to-day transportation needs of business owners. For fleet and business customers who want to upgrade their commercial vehicles, the Caddy and Transporter offer the best business returns with proven efficiency, durability and reliability, along with a safe and comfortable driving experience.

Available in two different wheelbase lengths per model, the Caddy and Transporter vehicles are built with the Volkswagen trademark of precise engineering and class-leading technology. The spacious dimensions and ergonomic layout increases the ease of use with passenger car-like handling, making both the Caddy and Transporter highly versatile vehicles.

They feature the latest generation 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engines which comply with the Euro 6 emissions standards. A separate tank of AdBlue is installed directly next to the engine, and the liquid urea solution is injected into the exhaust gas flow during the selective catalytic reduction process. This reduces the amount of nitrogen oxides (NOx) by 75% under all of the vehicle’s operating states.

All Volkswagen LCV models come with a 5-year or 200,000 km warranty (whichever comes first), as well as free servicing for up to 5 years or 100,000 km (whichever comes first). Topping up of AdBlue is free during the warranty period of 5 years or at a maximum mileage of 200,000 km (whichever comes first), as long as the vehicle is serviced at any Volkswagen service centre. In addition to low fuel consumption, all models require a visit to the workshop for servicing only every 20,000 km. This reduces the total cost of ownership by cutting down on replacement vehicles and loss of use costs.

The Caddy and Transporter are now available for sale at all Volkswagen showrooms. Prices start at $97,500 with COE for the Caddy, and $111,800 for the Transporter.

The Transporter

The Transporter is a perfect match for businesses requiring a large load area and generous payload. It is being launched with the standard wheelbase model, the Transporter T30. In the following weeks, the Transporter T32 with a longer wheelbase will be available to customers who require even more room for their business needs. Both versions offer an increased fuel efficiency of 28% compared to the previous generation, and deliver a high output of 150 PS of power and 340 Nm of torque.

There are also enhancements to the comfort and safety for all passengers and cargo. The standard safety features on the Transporter include the Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), Automatic Post-Collision Braking System, Traction Control, Antispin Regulation and a hill hold control function.

Additionally, a cleverly thought-out storage system and the largest load compartment of its class make the new Transporter the ideal partner for businesses. With a cargo width of 1,700 mm, the Transporter offers 155 mm more width than competitors in its segment. The impressive load bed area of 4.3 m2 and cargo volume of 5.8 m3 also make for easy handling and stowing of cargo.

With the Transporter T32, the 400 mm stretch between the front and rear axles gives a total length of 2,724 mm and a load bed area of 5.0 m2. This adds up to a best-in-segment cargo volume of 6.7 m3.

The Caddy

The fourth generation of the Volkswagen Caddy continues to outshine its counterparts with an improved fuel efficiency of 12% compared to the previous generation (5.0L / 100km in the combined driving cycle), and a suite of enhanced safety features. This also translates to lower running costs, which is a key factor for fleet owners.

True to its DNA, all Caddy models provide class-leading load compartment volumes that are among the most generous in the segment. The Caddy comes in a choice of two wheelbase lengths - the standard wheelbase Caddy with 2,682 mm, and the Caddy Maxi with an extended wheelbase of 3,006 mm.

The optimised chassis of the Caddy is perfectly tailored to the needs of day-to-day work. The cargo area of the Caddy can be accessed from both the front and sides of the vehicle. Class-leading safety features are available as standard on the Caddy as well, including ESP and the Automatic Post-Collision Braking System.

Both the Caddy and Caddy Maxi come with a 2.0-litre TDI engine. It offers 102 PS of power and a class-leading torque output of 250 Nm. With a longer wheelbase of 3,006 mm, the Caddy Maxi is a robust commercial vehicle, offering ample space for extra cargo. The maximum load width is 1,532 mm and the width between wheel housings is 1,168 mm.

The new Caddy Maxi Van can take up to 786 kg in load weight capacity, making it ideal for heavier cargo. Adding to that is a cavernous 4.2 m3 of space, bringing a whole new dimension in organising workflow and deliveries. This is enough to take care of most normal small transport needs and even give a reserve for those occasions that demand extra space or capacity.
