Volkswagen Group Singapore Launches Aftersales Enhanced Warranty Package
VGS ensures that only new genuine parts are used as replacement components.
Volkswagen Group Singapore has announced an aftersales enhanced warranty package - WePROTECT.
It’s an enhanced warranty plan that offers coverage for Volkswagen, Škoda, CUPRA and SEAT models up to their market value. It includes unlimited claims and covers over 130 components, with prices starting at S$1,962.
WePROTECT covers over 130 components across 15 key areas such as the engine, gearbox, mechatronics and air conditioning. VGS uses only new genuine parts for replacements, not reconditioned ones.
WePROTECT begins in the 6th year after the vehicle's first registration and lasts up to 7 years or 140,000km, whichever comes first. WePROTECT Lite starts in the 3rd year and ends after 5 years or 100,000km. Both plans are available for VW, Škoda, CUPRA and SEAT models, provided they were first registered by VGS and serviced according to the manufacturer’s guidelines.
Owners who haven't serviced their vehicles with VGS can apply by providing details of their last two services. The plan also accepts models with third-party aesthetic and performance upgrades.
Cars without insurance between their 3rd and 7th year are eligible for WePROTECT and WePROTECT Lite, but vehicles older than 5 years or with over 100,000 km are ineligible for both plans.
