V6 Powered Audi SQ5 Launched In Singapore, From S$400k With COE

Audi Singapore has revealed the SQ5 Sportback for the first-time in Singapore, barely three days after the launch of the hulking SQ7. Its 3-litre V6 engine generates 349 bhp and a maximum of 500 Nm of torque available from 1,370rpm – 4,500rpm, compared to the SQ7’s 500 bhp and massive chunk of 770 Nm of torque accessible from a narrower power band from 2,000 to 4,000 rpm.

Quattro all-wheel drive and an eight-speed tiptronic gearbox helps to transfer the performance to all four wheels. 0 to 100km/h is achieved in five seconds flat, and it can pull all the way to an electronically limited top speed of 250km/h.

A five-link suspension directs each of the four wheels. 21-inch wheels with 255/40 tyres are standard. Six-piston brake calipers made of aluminum and brake disks with a diameter of 375 mm are mounted on the front axle. The S sport suspension with damper control lowers the body by 30 mm compared to the Q5 Sportback.

Controlled dampers with seven profiles are integrated in the Audi drive select dynamic handling system. Of worthy mention will be the seventh option - the adaptive air suspension with S-specific tuning adapts the body’s ride height to the driving situation.

In Sportback guise, the SQ5 features a unique “greenhouse” that extends low over the body to create an early downward slope. Audi LED headlights are installed as standard. New digital OLED technology comes as standard for the rear lights, too.

The interior of the Audi SQ5 Sportback TFSI is designed in black or dark gray colours. Contrasting stitching adorns the seats and the steering wheel. Brushed aluminum is standard for the inlays.

The SQ5 Sportback is offered with the third-generation modular infotainment system managed by a 10.1-inch touch display, which sits alongside a digital Audi virtual cockpit featuring a 12.3-inch screen and head-up display.

The luggage compartment has a volume of 500 litres, which increases to almost thrice the volume when loaded to the roof and with the rear seats folded down. Audi also offers the rear seat bench plus as standard, which can be shifted laterally and has adjustable seat back angles.

The SQ5 Sportback 3.0 TFSI is now available at Audi Centre Singapore from S$397,877, including VES and COE.
