Up close with Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula OneTM Drivers, Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas and the new Mercedes-AMG E 63 S
At the invitation of HUGO BOSS, and Mercedes-Benz, Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula OneTM drivers, Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas, hosted an exclusive meet-and-greet at the Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore. Fans, special guests and members of the media who got together at the pool side of the glitzy hotel were treated to more than a glimpse of the two Formula OneTM racing stars, as Lewis and Valtteri engaged in a public Q&A session and thrilled guests with selfies and autographs.
The gathering also provided an opportunity for the drivers and guests to celebrate a Mercedes-AMG milestone. 2017 marks Mercedes-AMG’s 50th anniversary, and in the course of this half-century, the brand has remained true to its promise of “Driving Performance,” which unites its core strengths of cutting-edge technology and a deep passion for creating dynamic, emotionally appealing products. Based on the foundations of its phenomenal engine technology, Mercedes-AMG continues to record numerous successes in motor sport and through the development of its iconic performance vehicles.
Underlining Mercedes-AMG’s position as a highly successful sports car and performance brand is the new Mercedes-AMG E 63 S. Current Formula OneTM Drivers standings leader and three time championship winner, Lewis Hamilton arrived to the event in style in the latest Mercedes-AMG E 63 S, which looks to redefine the segment by turning the most intelligent executive saloon into the most powerful E-Class of all time. With F1 themed games and quizzes, guests also got the chance to win jackets from the “BOSS for Mercedes-Benz Collection” seen on the drivers in BOSS ad campaigns as well as Motorsports merchandise from Mercedes-Benz.
TV presenter and personality, Paula Malai hosted the evening and chatted with Lewis and Valtteri on their thoughts on the upcoming F1TM Singapore Grand Prix race.
“Coming to Singapore and being in the lead is a good thing. It’s taken us a while to reach there, and we’re going to do our best to stay here,” said Lewis Hamilton. When asked if the aim is to be crowned champion both in the constructors and drivers standings come the end of the season, Valtteri Bottas quipped,”That’s the goal.”
Continuing the team’s success from the 2016 F1TM World Championship season, the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula OneTM Team leads the 2017 season with shared between Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas, including three.
