UK: Moss to lead classic parade at Silverstone
To drum up support and excitement for the British Grand Prix, Sir Stirling Moss OBE will hop behind the wheel a Maserati 250F and lead both F1 and Maserati Centenary parades at the Silvestone Classic. The event, which is held to commemorate the 50th Grand Prix at Silverstone, will take place from the 25th to the 27th of July. The 1956 F1 car will lead a parade comprising of the best Maserati road cars and racers. Moss will not be driving the same car he drove to victory in Monaco and Italy though; the car he will be driving was originally piloted by Roy Salvadori. As a chassis, the 250F gave Moss his first F1 podium at Spa Francorchamps in 1954.Pictures used for illustration purposes only.
