Two New Mercedes-Benz CLE Variants Launched In Singapore

Mercedes-Benz Singapore has expanded its CLE family with two new models: the Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 4MATIC+ Coupé and the Mercedes-Benz CLE 200 Cabriolet. The CLE 53 Coupé aims to enhance the brand’s entry-level performance offerings, while the CLE 200 Cabriolet continues the tradition of crafting luxurious four-seater convertibles with dynamic driving and year-round comfort. These models, along with the CLE 200 Coupé launched earlier this year and the upcoming CLE 53 Cabriolet, bring the CLE lineup to a total of four models.

How much will they cost?

The Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 4MATIC+ Coupé will set you back from S$456,888 with COE, while the CLE 200 Cabriolet starts from S$393,888 with COE.

Straight 6 turbocharged hotshot

CLE combines the agility of the C-Class with the space and status of the E-Class. The CLE 53 4MATIC+ Coupé features a 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine, producing 330kW (449hp) and 560Nm, with an overboost of 600Nm for 12 seconds. An integrated starter generator adds 17kW (23hp) and 205Nm, supporting a 48-volt electrical system. The model also includes the AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G transmission and fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive. 0 to 100km/h arrives in 4.2 seconds.

Equipped for any driving condition

The AMG DYNAMICS control system in the CLE 53 4MATIC+ Coupé is integrated into the AMG DYNAMIC SELECT driving programs, offering different levels like "Basic," "Advanced," and "Pro." These levels adjust the ESP and all-wheel drive settings based on driver inputs and sensor data, delivering vehicle behaviour from stable to highly dynamic. The system can be controlled directly via AMG steering wheel buttons, allowing drivers to tailor the vehicle's characteristics for a blend of sportiness, elegance and lifestyle to match their preferences.

Drop top magic

The CLE 200 Cabriolet offers enhanced open-top driving comfort with the improved “AIRCAP” electric wind deflector and “AIRSCARF” headroom heating. Its standard acoustic fabric soft top, available in black, red, or grey, features a multi-layer structure for optimal thermal comfort and noise reduction. The fully electric soft top opens and closes in 20 seconds at speeds up to 60 km/h, and automatically optimises luggage space when folded. The CLE 200 Cabriolet AMG Line will be available at launch. Although it's not a full blown Mercedes-AMG, it does the century sprint in a respectable 7.9 seconds with a turbocharged 4 cylinder motor that churns out 204hp and 320Nm.

Specially coated seats

The CLE's leather seats have a special coating that reflects near-infrared rays, keeping them up to 12 degrees cooler in direct sunlight compared to untreated leather, even with the top closed. The front seats feature an integral sports seat design. Additionally, the Burmester sound system includes two speakers integrated into the headrests.
