World-renowned three-Michelin-star Chef Corey Lee and Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore (HMGICS) is set to add a unique offering to the rich culinary landscape in Singapore with a new restaurant concept - Na Oh.

What’s so special about Na Oh?

Na Oh, meaning "moving from inside out" in Korean, will be a unique destination in Singapore, serving as a cultural hub for Korean cuisine, craft and design. Spearheaded by San Francisco-based Chef Corey Lee, it will reinterpret traditional Korean dishes with a modern twist. This project marks Chef Lee's debut in Southeast Asia, enriching Singapore's culinary landscape.

What technology will Na Oh be showcasing at HMGICS?

HMGICS will be integral to Na Oh's concept, expanding the hub's customer experience beyond just automotive production to include a unique hospitality destination in Singapore. It features the world's first visitor-accessible robotics smart farm, producing over 30kg of fresh produce daily using advanced automation and robotics technology. Na Oh will source its ingredients from this farm, creating a distinctive farm-to-table experience that blends food with innovation.

When can I visit Na Oh?

Under Chef Corey Lee's guidance, Na Oh’s culinary team will present exquisite hansik cuisine tailored for the modern palate. Inspired by Korean traditions, Na Oh will offer cultural insights through collaborations with Korea’s master artisans. The restaurant is will open to the public on 15 June 2024.

What food can I expect at Na Oh?

Chef Corey Lee's seasonal Korean cuisine will combine traditional techniques like fermentation and preservation with modern methods, using fresh, seasonal ingredients. Na Oh’s first summer menu will include a 4-course prix fixe offering dishes such as Mulhwe (seafood in icy kimchi broth), Naengmyun (cold beef noodles), and Samgyetang (ginseng-flavored stuffed chicken). The vegetables used in these dishes will come from HMGICS’s vertical Smart Farm, which grows up to nine different crops including ice plant, red coral lettuce, swiss chard, mustard, kale, romaine lettuce and mizuna.
