This Toyota RAV4 Represents Inclusivity And Creativity

Toyota Singapore has unveiled the Start Your Impossible Hero Project 2024, a pioneering fashion showcase celebrating inclusivity and adaptive design.

Led by Paralympic swimmer and Global Team Toyota Athlete Toh Wei Soong in his Creative Director debut, the event featured a collaboration with Claudia Poh of adaptive fashion label Werable.

The collection promotes accessible fashion for all. Adding a unique touch, a Toyota RAV4 wrapped in Toh’s artwork symbolises the fusion of creativity, inclusivity and mobility.

“At its heart, the hero project is about transformation - alchemy. In this case, it is the self-transformation from lesser to higher selves,” Toh explained. “It’s about becoming more than what we are, inspired by the stories, ideas, and experiences that have shaped me.”

The collection features 16 looks, modeled by individuals of diverse abilities, highlighting self-expression, dignity and style. Toh Wei Soong and Claudia Poh collaborated to blend Toh’s vision with Claudia’s expertise in textiles, showcasing how clothing can empower individuals to confidently express themselves.

Toyota’s Start Your Impossible initiative, launched in 2018, focuses on creating an inclusive, sustainable society. In Singapore, the campaign supports athletes who excel in sports while advocating for social change. Toh Wei Soong embodies this by combining his passions for sports and fashion to promote inclusivity. As Creative Director, Toh showcases how adaptive design allows individuals to dress with pride and style.

Toh's collection will be auctioned, with all proceeds donated to the Society for the Physically Disabled (SPD). S$5,000 from the sale of the Toyota RAV4 wrapped in Toh’s design will also go to SPD.
