This Is The New Nissan Qashqai, And It Is Coming To Singapore This Year!
This is the third generation Nissan Qashqai, and it will for the first time be powered by hybrid drive technology. The outgoing Qashqai was Nissan's best-selling vehicle, with them seemingly hitting the sweet spot of fielding a competitively-priced car that was practical and was also remarkably fuel-efficient. The new Qashqai’s styling, with its V-Motion grille and floating roof, together with a more prominent shoulder line, makes for a more athletic and dynamic appearance. Dimensions-wise, the new car will be quite similar to the one it replaces, though it will have a longer wheelbase, and there will be an option for large 20” rims. Customers can choose from 11 body colours, with five two-tone combinations to make their Qashqai their very own.
The new car comes better-connected, with effortless integration of smartphones, and WiFi connectivity for up to seven devices. The Qashqai also supports the NissanConnect Services app, that allows users to control and monitor the vehicle. A 9” screen fronts the car’s infotainment system, and supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.
Newly offered on the Qashqai, ProPILOT with Navi-link helps to reduce fatigue and stress while driving by assisting with acceleration and braking within a single lane on a highway. The system features the same intuitive controls as ProPILOT, and uses navigation data to smoothly assist with driving, especially with sharp cornering and off-ramp exiting.
Singapore can expect the all-new Qashqai to reach its shores closer to the end of 2021, with a 12-volt mild hybrid system, paired to a 1.3 litre turbocharged engine; and we can also expect the e-Power drivetrain, found in their Serena MPV and Kicks to follow suit.
