Singaporean businessmen injured in tussle with armed robbers.

A Singaporean Businessman and his male colleague were injured after a tussle with armed robbers. 38 year old Mr Wong was about to go for lunch in a dim sum restaurant in Bandar Puteri Puchong, Seleangor, when he was preyed on by robbers. One of the robbers came up to Mr Wong and attempted to snatch his bag, but Mr Wong was unwilling to give up without a fight. His male colleague then joined him in the tussle and together, they managed to overpower the robber. However, the robber then called upon his accomplice, who was also armed, to fight back. Soon, more people joined, and now there were 4 armed attackers.

In the midst of the ferocious struggle, Mr Wong managed to snatch a knife from one of the men, but not before his fingers were cut and he was stabbed in the chest. In self defence, Mr Wong then jammed the knife deeply into the thigh of the 23 year old attacker, who died due to excessive bleeding later. Both Mr Wong and his colleague suffered injuries, but their injuries were not severe. Mr Wong was taken to Serdang Hospital where he was warded, but he expects to be discharged in 2 days.

The other men dropped their injured accomplice off, before abandoning the hatchback 150m away from the hospital and fled the scene. Investigations are ongoing.
