SG: Works begin on 6 new stations

Construction of 6 new stations of the Thomson-East Coast Line has officially begun. These stations, which are the Napier, Orchard Boulevard, Orchard, Great World, Havelock and Outram Park stations, will improve connectivity to the rest of the island, especially to those who live in areas which are not served by any MRT lines at the moment.  The six stations along the new MRT line will serve residents in Tanglin-Cairnhill, Tanjong Pagar-Tiong Bahru and Kreta Ayer-Kim Seng constituencies. Construction is scheduled for completion in 2021, with the other 25 stations to be finished by 2024.
