SG: Singaporean Ambulance involved in accident in Malaysia

A Singaporean ambulance was involved in a crash along the stretch of the North-South Highway near Senawang, about three hours away from Singapore. The crash occured at 3.00am on Thursday morning. The ambulance was carrying a 74 year old Singaporean back to Singapore. The four Singaporeans onboard the ambulance were hurt in the accident that involved six vehicles. The accident was caused when the ambulance attempted to avoid a crashed car. The 74-year old elderly suffered a fractured thigh bone in the accident, the 32-year old doctor in the ambulance has suffered abdominal bleeding and is in intensive care, although he is in a stable condition after undergoing surgery. A nurse fractured her left forearm, and had a cut on her forehead, while the 62 year old who drove the ambulance fractured a rib and injured his lungs.

With exception to the doctor, the other three Singaporeans requested to return to Singapore and they were brought back in ambulances that very same evening.
