SG: Senior teacher hurt after lorry runs over her.

A senior teacher in her 50s was involved in a hit and run yesterday when she was leaving her school. The Commonwealth Secondary teacher was walking across a pedestrian crossing at the junction of Pandan Gardens and Jurong Town Hall Road when a lorry making a left turn hit her. The accident, which occurred at around 6.30pm, saw the teacher fracturing her ankle and dislocating her shoulder. She was taken by ambulance to the National University Hospital. The lorry driver fled the scene, but was subsequently stopped by a car driver which witnessed the incident. The lorry driver is assisting with investigations.
