SG: Revised laws on usage of mobile devices while driving
From February of 2015, any motorist that is caught using or even holding their mobile devices while driving can be charged for flouting the law. The current legal definition of ‘using’ such a device involves make a call or texting a message. The new law will stretch to cover surfing the Internet, visiting social media platforms, and any other function. Also, the usage of all mobile devices will be made illegal while driving; right now, you are only not allowed to use your mobile phone while driving.
