SG: Positive response for City Direct service.

SG: Positive response for City Direct service.

The service may cost 30 cents more, but for that, you get an empty bus and a shorter journey, something that those who live in the West have been wanting for a long time. The new route, City Service 651, was started on Monday and is operated by ComfortDelGro Bus. The journey begins in Jurong West Avenue 3 and stops at 10 stations in Jurong West before heading to Marina Boulevard via the AYE. The journeys are payable by cash or ezlink card, with the latter costing $2.37 and the former costing a little bit more at $2.70. Currently, two buses are deployed to serve the route. They depart from Jurong West at 7:30am and 7:45am. They will then serve two return trips in the evening at 6:15pm and 6:30pm. The feedback received has been positive so far, and 9 other routes will be rolled out by private operators in the coming months. Pictures used for illustration purposes only.
