SG: Occupants unharmed by fallen tree

Passengers onboard a black Mazda sedan escaped without any injuries despite a tree falling on their car. The incident occured on Saturday afternoon, while the sedan was on Tanglin Road from Margaret Drive. A photo of the incident was uploaded by Twitter user Kim Vernon. She also mentioned that both escaped the car unhurt. Police officers arrived on scene to assist the pair at roughly 12:35pm. Since 2003, uprooted trees and fallen branches have claimed 4 lives and leaving a further 62 injured. In the first 1/3 of 2013, there were 122 cases of trees being uprooted.Pictures used for illustration purposes only.
