SG: New speed cameras to be installed

The LTA will install a total of 20 new digital speed enforcement cameras at 11 locations starting from March of this year. The new cameras, which will be finished in bright colours, will be installed in areas which include the Seletar Expressway, Yishun Avenue 1 towards Lentor Avenue, Upper Thomson Road, Pan Island Expressway, and Loyang Avenue. It is hoped that the new cameras will help to ensure more motorists keep to the speed limit, after the number of speeding violations rose by 6.5% to the 278,545 of 2014, as compared to the 261,540 of 2013.  Pictures used for illustration purposes only.
