The Ford Mustang will be coming to Singapore in late 2015, Ford distributor Regent Motors confirms. Previewed in left hand-drive form and sporting a massive 5.0-litre V8 under the hood at the recent Singapore Motorshow, the car gave potential customers and muscle car enthusiasts a taste of what is to come.

Finally available in right hand-drive and in Singapore, the new Mustang will be available in a choice of 2 engines – a 310hp 2.3-litre turbocharged EcoBoost unit, and a fire-breathing 435hp 5.0-litre power plant in the GT trim.

Also introduced was Ford’s new Mondeo sedan. One of Ford’s strongest selling cars in Singapore, the new Mondeo packs more tech than ever. It features adaptive LED headlights with sequential signal lights, hands-free parking assistance, and a bang-up-to-date 10-inch digital-analogue instrument display.

The new Mondeo will be available with Ford’s 2.0-litre EcoBoost engine, and the new car weighs up to 363kg lighter than its predecessor thanks to usage of lightweight materials in the car.

Prices of the Mustang are not yet available as production of the right hand-drive car only commences in June, but it is estimated to cost $280,000 for the 2.3-litre, and $350,000 for the GT 5.0-litre, with a $5,000 and $20,000 deposit required respectively for booking. The new Mondeo will be available from $170,999.
