SG: Lamborghini Singapore unveils the new Huracan LP610-4

The eagerly-awaited Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4 was launched in Singapore just yesterday, in presence of Mr Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini. The Huracán made its first Singaporean appearance in January this year through a series of private viewings for existing Lamborghini owners and special guests, way before its worldwide debut in March at the Geneva Motor Show.

Despite having some similarities with the Gallardo it replaces, such as having all-wheel drive and the same engine capacity, Lamborghini claims that the Huracán is brand new.

For the engine, there are new innovations such as the dual fuel injection system, known as “Iniezione Diretta Stratificata”. It pumps out 610hp, which is transferred via a similarly brand new 7 speed dual-clutch gearbox and onto the tarmac by a brand new all-wheel drive system

Also thanks to a new lightweight “hybrid” chassis made from carbon fibre and aluminium, the Huracán is able to reach the century sprint in just 3.2 seconds, and reach a top speed of more than 325km/h. To kill all that speed, carbon ceramic brakes are standard kit on the car.

Priced at S$1.168 million excluding taxes, local dealer EuroSports Auto has begun accepting reservations for the Lamborghini Huracán since January this year. Delivery of the pre-booked units are scheduled to start in September 2014.
