SG: Johor wants heavy vehicles to be banned from the Causeway

Johor has intentions to ban heavy vehicles from using the Causeway. It is hoped that the banning will help improve traffic slow at the link. State Public Works, Rural and Regional Development Committee chairman Hasni Mohammad has said that they have come up with a proposal, which will eventually be submitted to the Malaysian government for review. There is another benefit of outlawing heavy vehicles on the Causeway - it would facilitate the construction of the rapid transit system that connects Johor Bahru with Singapore.Pictures used for illustration purposes only.
