SG: Formula DRIFT Asia And Dunlop Tyres Launch Commemorative 8th Anniversary Photo Book

Formula DRIFT Asia, the Asian franchise of the professional North American drifting series Formula DRIFT, is celebrating eight years of its success with a commemorative 8th anniversary photo book. Printed in limited copies, this coffee table book showcases memorable moments of the various Formula DRIFT Asia events since the first one held in Singapore in 2008. Headquartered in the Lion City, Formula DRIFT Asia has expanded to Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Australia and Japan. Featuring 80 pages of exclusive photos shot by renowned motorsport photographer Larry Chen with the support of our local photography crew, the limited edition Formula DRIFT Asia commemorative photo book was launched on 26 September in Singapore at Shaw House Urban Plaza with a photo exhibition and a charity drive for youth-at-risk. Chen will also made a special appearance at the launch, to share insight about his experience in capturing the high speed sideway action of Formula DRIFT.

Printed on high quality photo paper with hard copy binding, all gross proceeds from sales at the launch event will be donated to CampVision, a volunteer-driven group reaching youth-at risk, supported by the South East Community Development Council (CDC).

Mr. Kia Siang Wei, General Manager of South East CDC, said, “One of South East CDC’s key thrusts is to assist the needy, and this includes youths who come from marginalized families. With the kind donation from Formula DRIFT Asia, we look forward to seeing more at-risk youths being empowered and inspired through CampVision’s many skills enrichment and character development programmes.”

“It was my dream to bring the sport of drifting out of the States and introduce this form of modern motorsport to Asia. The journey has been incredible, with the support of drivers, teams, partners, media and of course, the fans. We wanted to give something to the fans to thank them for their support – without them, we wouldn’t have made it this far,” said Marcus Lim, founder of Formula DRIFT Asia and General Manager of Binter & Co Pte Ltd.

Held over two days on 27 and 28 September in conjunction with Shaw House Pte Ltd and Dunlop Tyres, the photo exhibition at Shaw House Urban Plaza was free for public viewing from 12pm to 8pm.
