SG: Former MP caught for driving under influence.

Former MP Mr Chan Soo Sen was fined $2,000 and disqualified from driving for a year after he was caught by mobile police for driving under the influence of alcohol. He did so after attending a charity event at 11:55pm on 13th July, and failed a breathalyser test, which revealed that he had 50mg of alcohol per 100ml, way over the 35mg legal limit. According to Mr. Chan, he failed to get a cab to get him there, so he decided to drive. During the event, he said the organisers had toasted him. Mr Chan, now a part-time business consultant,  said that he will stick to using public transport from now on.
