SG: Driver arrested for evading roadblock

A 41-year old Singaporean male driving a silver van, has been arrested after failing to stop at a roadblock. His arrest was based on grounds for rash driving. The van was driven with its headlights off, and the driver skipped the roadblock, which was at Clementi Loop towards the direction of at 2:10am on the 10th of May. He caused an accident along Boon Lay Way and Toh Guan Road, which was a miracle, given that he ran through 4 red lights. Police that were giving chase stopped to provide assistance to the victim, but thankfully he wasn’t hurt. After 3 hours the man was caught. His arrest was made near Woodlands Drive 44. It is believed that the man was driving without a valid license, and will be investigated for failing to stop when ordered by a police officer, driving without insurance coverage, and failing to stop after an accident. He risks a maximum of a 1 year jail sentence and a $5000 fine.Pictures used for illustration purposes only.
