SG: Cyclists boxed in hit-and-run driver

PG/SH Riders, a group of cyclists, witnessed a hit-and-run incident involving a car and a motorbike, which saw the motorcyclist and his pillion injured by the side of the road. They lay on a patch of grass outside Changi Airbase with debris from the crash strewn not too far from where they lay. The riders called for the police and an ambulance, before splitting up into groups to either aid the injured motorcyclist and his pillion, or to try and find the irresponsible driver. Some stayed behind to direct traffic as well. Based on recounts by 34 year old Paul Goh, founder of the cyclist group and eyewitness of the incident, said that his group saw the motorcycle about ½ a kilometre away, while the car stopped at the next red light. They were sure the car was the one involved in the hit and run, for its front bumper was gone. The pack of cyclists boxed the Airwave in, seized the keys from the driver and held on to them until cops arrived at the scene.
