SG: Controversial road project to begin in 2014

A dual four-lane road is to be built at a cost of $134.7 millon that will link MacRitchie Viaduct to the Adam Flyover. This project hopes to lessen the peak-hour congestion Lornie Road and the Pan-Island Expressway. For the project, 4153 out of 100,000 graves at Bukit Brown cemetery will be exhumed by the  fourth quarter of 2013. The contract has been awarded to local contractor, Swee Hong, and the project is scheduled to be completed by 2017. The government first announced the project in 2011, causing a huge controversy between them ,nature and heritage groups.
