SG: 8 hurt in chain collision.

An accident on the ECP on the 29th of October at around 11:00pm saw 8 casualties conveyed to Singapore General Hospital. The pileup involved an SBS Transit bus, a lorry, a panel-van and a sedan. The chain collision started when the SBS bus swerved from the right to the left lane on the expressway. The bus hit the back of the lorrt, sending it into the back of the van. The relatively large forces involved in the crash sent the van crashing into the rear of an Opel sedan in front of them. The impact saw the front section of the bus sustain heavy damages, trapping the driver in his seat. The SCDF received a call for help at 11.10pm, and dispatched four ambulances, three support vehicles and two fire engines. Three passengers onboard the bus and four onboard the lorry were sent to SGH in a conscious state. Pictures used for illustration purposes only.
