"Budget" Audi A3 Sedan And Sportback Launched, From S$186k With COE
Audi Singapore has expanded its premium compact class segment with two new additions - the Audi A3 Sedan and A3 Sportback 1.0 TFSI S tronic. Both cars are categorised under the Category A COE scheme.
Both new additions to the A3 range are fitted with Audi’s 1.0 TFSI motor offering 81 kW (110 metric hp), 200Nm of torque and a 7-speed S tronic transmission powering the front wheels. This combination should help the driver achieve over 20km/l on the combined cycle, not a bad figure considering its fairly decent performance output aided by a 48V mild hybrid system.
On the inside, a 10.1-inch touch display comes as standard, along with Audi’s “virtual cockpit plus”, which provides additional features such as a 12.3-inch instrument cluster with three configurations.
The MMI operating concept is powered by a new third-generation modular infotainment platform, with a computing power Audi claims is ten times faster than its predecessor. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will also come as standard via the myAudi app.
Despite its “budget” labelling (at least in Singapore’s context), the new A3 still comes equipped with a list of safety systems like cruise control, hold assist, rear parking camera and lane departure warning.
The new Audi A3 Sedan and A3 Sportback 1.0 TFSI are now available from S$188,148 and S$186,369 respectively, inclusive of COE and VES.
