Passenger Car COEs Are Up! Category A and B COEs End Close

Certificates of Entitlements (COEs) this week ended higher for passenger cars. Category A and B COEs end close to each other, perhaps a good time to look at a more powerful Category B car? This month saw 4,697 successful bids received during the month’s first bidding exercise for COEs.

Quota of 1,672 @ $33,798, up from $32,599,

Category A (cars 1,600cc and below, and have a maximum power of 130bhp),


Quota of 1,265 @ $34,381, up from $32,551,

Category B (cars above 1,600cc, and have a more than 130bhp),

Quota of 379 @ $30,389, down from $30,889,

Commercial vehicle Category C,

Quota of 845 @ $5,514, down from $6,189,

Motorcycle Category D,

Quota of 536 @ $33,420, down from $32,809,

Open Category E (All but motorcycles),

Bids can be submitted through the Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) of DBS/POSB and the Internet Banking facilities of UOB or Maybank, do ensure that you have bank accounts with these participating banks.

The bid deposit for COEs in Categories A, B, C and E is $10,000 per bid while that for Category D is $200 per bid.
