Park And Ride Users Given New e-Booking System
No more long queues as motorists can get their Park & Ride Coupons via the Transit Link website.
From Tuesday, 15 June 2010, car owners can look forward to buying their Park & Ride (P&R) set online at www.transitlink.com.sg. The new channel provides car owners with greater convenience and an additional option to purchase the P&R set , in addition to the existing counter services at TransitLink Ticket Offices.
The new P&R online booking system is among a slew of initiatives announced by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) on 11 March 2010 to encourage more car owners to park and ride. The scheme helps to reduce traffic demand, as for every motorist who participates in the scheme there is potentially one less car on the road or expressways.
The new e-booking system allows car owners to check the availability of P&R lots, book and make payment for the P&R set online. Car owners who purchase their P&R set online, can then go to any TransitLink Ticket Office at their convenient time to pick-up the Season Parking Ticket (SPT) decal for their chosen P&R car park and top-up the P&R card for use on public transport.
From June 2010, motorists can make online purchases anytime from 8.00am on the 15th of each month till 11.59pm on the 4th of the valid month . They can collect the P&R set from any TransitLink Ticket Office by the 7th of the valid month.
P&R users who prefer to buy their set at service counters can continue to do so at any TransitLink Ticket Office from Ticket Office from the 15th of each month to the 7th of the valid month.
