October’s First Bidding Exercise… Prices Stable, Cat A and B End Slightly Lower

This month saw 4,631 successful bids received during the month’s second bidding exercise for Certificates of Entitlement (COEs). Prices are stable. Category A and B cars benefit slightly from a slight reduction in premium prices.

Quota of 1,829 @ $41,761, down from $42,902,

Category A (cars 1,600cc and below, and have a maximum power of 130bhp),


Quota of 1,285 @ $48,109, down from $49,189,

Category B (cars above 1,600cc, and have a more than 130bhp),

Quota of 492 @ $48,902, up from $46,890,

Commercial vehicle Category C,

Quota of 485 @ $5,010, down from $5,501,

Motorcycle Category D,

Quota of 542 @ $49,00, down from $49,102,

Open Category E (All but motorcycles),

Bids can be submitted through the Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) of DBS/POSB and the Internet Banking facilities of UOB or Maybank, do ensure that you have bank accounts with these participating banks.

The bid deposit for COEs in Categories A, B, C and E is $10,000 per bid while that for Category D is $200 per bid.
