October’s second COE bidding exercise has ended. Prices for both Category A and B have ended moderately higher, and we believe that we will not see many changes to prices of cars currently at the dealerships. Quota of 916 @ $37,334, up from $36,534,

Category A (cars 1,600cc and below, and have a maximum power of 130bhp),


Quota of 793 @ $40,990, up from $40,690,

Category B (cars above 1,600cc, or have more than 130bhp),


Quota of 316 @ $33,778, up from $33,089,

Commercial Vehicle Category C,

Quota of 423 @ $7,300, up from $7,451,

Motorcycle Category D,

Quota of 430 @ $39,889, down from $40,301,

Open Category E (All but motorcycles),

Bids can be submitted through the Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) of DBS/POSB and the Internet Banking facilities of UOB or Maybank. Do ensure that you have bank accounts with these participating banks.

The bid deposit for COEs in Categories A, B, C and E is $10,000 per bid while that for Category D is $200 per bid.
