New Mild Hybrid Nissan Qashqai Starts From S$196,800
Nissan’s best-selling crossover already has more than 10,000 units sold in Singapore.

Nissan already knew how to play the game, way before the crossover SUV craze took flight. We dug through our archives and found that Nissan’s Qashqai outperformed rivals in the same segment in the first portion of 2009. The late noughties weren’t an entirely pleasant environment economically, given that most were still reeling from the effects from the recession. Timing was perhaps perfect for the functional Qashqai to thrive in conditions more suited for one car solutions.

16 years on, the Qashqai’s sales surpassed 10,000 units in Singapore. While high COE premiums had made it no less challenging for Nissan to shift sales, it’s still a strong product that embodies premium craftsmanship and refinement.
The new Qashqai features a sleek front grille and headlamp architecture. It’s powered by a 1.3-litre turbocharged mild hybrid engine. Stylish alloy wheels, a sporty rear diffuser and LED headlights with dynamic LED turning indicators complete the eye-catching exterior.
There’s nappa leather seats and suede-trimmed surfaces throughout the cabin. Customisable ambient lighting adds to the premium feel, while a frameless auto-dimming rear-view mirror and a 10-way powered driver’s seat with memory function adds to the layer of luxury.
The launch price of S$196,800 is valid only until 23 April. Head on down for an exclusive preview on 12 and 13 April at its Ubi and Leng Kee showrooms to find out more.
