New Hyundai Kona Hybrid Lands In Singapore

Komoco Motors Pte Ltd has unveiled the second iteration of the Kona, commencing with the introduction of the HEV (self-charging hybrid) powertrain variant. The latest Kona Hybrid features a 1.6-L GDi direct injection engine combined with an electric motor, resulting in a power output of 130ps and 265Nm of torque. An addition to this new generation Kona Hybrid is the innovative e-Motion Drive function, which enhances stability during sharp cornering through effective management of braking, shifting, and torque distribution.

The external design of the Kona stands out with the seamless integration of LED Seamless Horizon Lamps at both the front and rear, housing integrated daytime running lights. The Elite trim, now available in Singapore, showcases 18-inch alloy wheels with a sporty parametric rim design. This stylistic motif extends along the sides, preserving the sturdy SUV facade, accentuated by boldly designed wheel arch cladding.

Despite its futuristic aesthetics, the Kona retains a fundamental SUV identity. The cabin has been enhanced for greater passenger comfort and cargo capacity. Featuring an elongated wheelbase, increased legroom, and higher headroom compared to its predecessor, the Kona provides a spacious and accommodating interior. The second-row seats offer decent room with generous shoulder space, while the streamlined seats create additional living space for passengers.

Inside, you'll find a merged 12.3-inch dual-screen display and ergonomic relaxation comfort seats. The second-row Curve-less Bench Seat adds to the contemporary urban design.
