Toyota Singapore has launched the fifth-generation Toyota Prius Hybrid, reinforcing its dedication to redefining the hybrid landscape. Since its 1997 debut, the Prius has been a symbol of hybrid innovation and efficiency. The latest model builds on this legacy by integrating cutting-edge technology, sleek design and a commitment to eco-conscious driving.

Perfecting self-charging hybrid tech

The fifth-generation Prius Hybrid is a notable step forward in hybrid engineering, demonstrating Toyota's commitment to sustainable mobility. With an enhanced self-charging hybrid system, it delivers 138 combined hybrid system horsepower, more than sufficient for smooth city jaunts. There's no word on the more punchy PHEV Prius for the local market just yet, but watch this space.

Ideal for Singapore tarmac

A 0-100km/h time of 9.3 seconds won’t leave tyre marks on the streets on full pelt, but it wasn’t engineered to be a firecracker from the onset. It’s right-sized for the city (2,599mm long and 1,782mm wide), and noticeably lighter than most EVs (1,350kg unladen). Seamless operation is its priority.

All about that fuel efficiency…

The Prius Hybrid is backed by Toyota's strong commitment to eco-friendly driving. An all-new 1.8-litre engine delivers exceptional fuel efficiency of 24.4km/l - an 18% improvement over the previous model.

It looks stunning

The Prius Hybrid's sleek appearance is complemented by the Electronic Rear Door Opener Switch, which enhances its ergonomic design and ease of use. Its futuristic headlight design, inspired by a hammerhead shark, sets it apart from conventional styles and reaffirms its status as a pioneering hybrid.

Safe and sound

There’s a strong emphasis on safety with Toyota Safety Sense features. These utilise camera sensors and millimetre-wave radar to detect potential collisions and engage automatic braking as needed to prevent accidents. The car also comes equipped with Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert, Lane Tracing Assist, Automatic High-Beam and seven airbags.
