New Aston Martin V12 Vantage Revealed, All 333 Units Sold

We could never fathom how Aston Martin managed to fit such a large engine in a model as compact as the Vantage. And we will never be able to marvel at such an engineering feat soon, as this Aston Martin V12 Vantage will be the last time a 5.2-litre Twin Turbo V12 is fitted to the Vantage.

700PS (690bhp) and 753Nm make this the most powerful Vantage ever. Mated to a ZF 8-speed automatic, the quad-cam 60-deg 5.2-litre V12 offers a combination of low and mid-range punch with top-end power. Top speed is rated at 200mph (322km/h), with a 0-60mph (0-96 km/h) sprint in 3.4 seconds. Power-to-weight ratio stands at 390PS (385bhp) per ton - a 20% increase compared to the V8 powered Vantage.

Weight saving techniques include a carbonfibre front bumper, clamshell bonnet, front fenders and side sills, composite rear bumper and deck lid, lightweight battery and a special centre-mounted twin-exit stainless-steel exhaust system that is 7.2kg lighter than the standard Vantage’s system. A Carbon Ceramic Braking (CCB) system comes as standard, saving 23kg compared to steel brake kits.

The bodywork has been widened by 40mm to accommodate a wide track chassis, suited up by a muscular aerodynamic package generating 204kg of downforce at Vmax - clear influences drawn from the Vantage GT12 (Aston Martin’s road-going tribute to the legendary V12 Vantage GT3 racer).

Spring rates have been increased by 50% at the front and 40% at the rear, combined with top mount stiffness increasing by 13% and new anti-roll bars that are 5% stiffer at the front and 41% softer at the rear.

The Aston Martin V12 Vantage is limited to 333 units globally - all have been spoken for. We should be seeing them in the wild soon with deliveries scheduled to commence this quarter.
