Local News: COE Results for September Round 2

COE Prices climb higher in all but the Category A segment

Certificates of Entitlement (COE) have closed higher in all but the Category A (cars under 1,600cc) segment following this round of bidding.

Category A (Cars under 1,600cc) segment COEs managed to close $5,000 lower this round at $63,000.

Elsewhere across the board, prices climbed upwards with Category B (cars over 1,600cc) COEs rising by $8,309 to close at $88,500.
Prices in the Category E (Open Category) have also increased by $1,991 to finish at $89,990.

The full results are as follows:

Category A (Cars below 1,600cc) : $63,000 (-7.9%)
Category B (Cars above1,600cc) : $88,500 (+10.3%)
Category C (Commercial Vehicles) : $57,809 (+0.8%)
Category D (Motorcycles) : $1,852 (+2.8%)
Category E (Open) : $89,990 (+2.2%)

A total of 996 Cat A, B and E certificates were awarded in this round’s bidding exercise compared to 991 in the last round. A total of 1,611 COEs were awarded.
