Lamborghini Presents The New Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse
The Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse was presented for the first time at the 2013 Frankfurt Auto show. It delivers high levels of performance while bringing the thrills associated with motorsport to the street legal world. The Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse is the newest and most extreme model in the Gallardo line-up and it is based on the Gallardo Super Trofeo, the world's fastest one-make series. The new Gallardo Squadra Corse is derived directly from the race car. Both share the same V10 engine, which is used in the racing version with no modification. The Squadra Corse has the same rear wing for greater aerodynamic load for increased dynamic stability during tight high-speed cornering. The removable engine hood equipped with a quick release system is another element taken from the racing version.
The Gallardo Lp 570-4Squadra Corse boasts a dry weight of 1340 kgs, 70 less than the lean Gallardo LP 560-4, which gives the Squadra Corse a stunning power to weight ratio of 2.35kg per hp. It sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 3.4 seconds and reaches 200km/h in just 10.4 seconds. The forward thrust finally tops out at 320km/h. The production-standerd carbon-ceramic brake system guarantees unmatched stopping power. The V10 engine generates 570hp (419kW) fully available at 8,000rpm.
The interior features extremely lightweight carbon fiber and Alcantara, the perfect combination of sporty minimalism. The underside dashboard, the central panel of the seat cushion and the back rest is graced by Alcantara. The door panels, the racing seats and the center console cover are made from carbon fiber, a technology in which Lamborghini has achieved world-leading experise.
