An iconic brand with over 70 years of time-tested performance, reliability and versatility, Jeep is a fitting partner for the exciting and dynamic sport of rugby, and the HSBC Singapore Rugby Sevens. Through its first foray into the sport of rugby in Singapore, Jeep’s partnership with the Singapore Rugby Sevens is a part of the automotive company’s vision to promote an active lifestyle through the championing of sports at all levels in Singapore - from professional to the grassroots.

Ms Quah Bee Jin, General Manager of Jeep in Singapore said:

“Globally, the Jeep brand has always had strong ties to sports teams and events. In Singapore, our commitment to promoting the shared values of the Jeep brand and various sports disciplines, like rugby, is stronger than ever. A world-class sporting event like the Rugby 7s is the perfect complement to the values of Jeep – as the players embody grit, passion, a penchant for adventure and hardiness. We are proud to be the Official Vehicle Partner of the Singapore Rugby 7s and look forward to witnessing the growth of sports in Singapore.”

As part of the American brand’s support of the Singapore Sevens and the local rugby community, a social media focused initiative called ‘The Authentic Singapore Experience, presented by Jeep’ will take place during event week. Various players will be invited to travel around Singapore in the official Jeep Rugby 7s vehicle to sample some of the most authentic Singaporean experiences, including local cuisine and must-visit attractions, while also sharing more about their remarkable rugby careers.

These experiences will be shared on both the Jeep’s channels (Website, Facebook, Instagram) and Singapore Sevens’ official website, Facebook, and Instagram pages.

In addition, Bee Cheng Hiang a Singapore Sevens Ticket Holder Benefit is offering free tastings of their highly popular mini crunchies today at the Jeep showroom at 1 Chang Charn Road to join hands with Jeep to create more buzz for the biggest celebration of rugby in Southeast Asia and promote the Clarke Quay stop of the Singapore Rugby Carnival roadshow which takes place today and tomorrow as part of the final countdown to the Singapore Sevens.

Mr David Lim, Executive Chairman and Managing Director of Rugby Singapore, commented: “We are delighted to have Jeep on board as the Official Vehicle Partner of HSBC Singapore Rugby Sevens 2018. Jeep and rugby share similar values, and while rugby is all about team work with each player trusting each other to carry the ball over the line, Jeep is known to have taken many on successful and extraordinary journeys, safely and securely. Jeep is a legend in its industry and we cannot be more proud to be working with them to continue building the legacy of the Singapore Sevens.”
