Jaguar has launched its first ever luxury performance SUV in Singapore, the All-new Jaguar F-Pace. Heavily inspired by the C-X17 concept vehicle, the F-pace has the trademark form, sporty profile, and beautiful lines of a Jaguar. The F-Pace combines the brand's legendary performance and handling characteristics with the everyday versatility people would expect for an SUV, making it the ultimate practical sports car.

“The F-PACE has been much awaited since its dramatic reveal at theFrankfurt Motor Show last year. Instantly recognisable as a Jaguar, our first ever performance SUV combines maximum driving exhilaration and practicality and is sure to excite the senses,” says Russell Anderson, Managing Director of Asia Pacific Importers, Jaguar Land Rover.

A Look at the New F-Pace

The F-pace's overall look was greatly influenced by the F-Type, as seen on the bonnet bulge, the rear haunches. Aside from its sleek, exterior, the F-pace features a sporty, spacious interior with a 40:20:40 rear seat configuration. The soft-grain leather seats can be folded individually, adjusting available cargo space or passenger capacity depending on the situation. The 10-colour ambient lighting, InControl Touch Pro infotainment system, and 12.3-ich HD virtua instrument cluster complete's the interior's sporty, elegant, and practical look.

The F-Pace has an aluminium intensive monocoque, which gives it excellent torsional stiffness without bogging the car down with too much weight. With a double wishbone front suspension at the front and an Integral Link rear suspension, the F-pace's boasts a solid, but lightweight structure.

Jaguar's performance SUV features torque vectoring and an electric power-assisted steering system to give drivers the optimal feel and responsiveness for precise handling and body control.

The F-Pace is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged Ingenium diesel engine, which was fully designed and manufactured in-house. Capable of providingf up to 180PS/430Nm of torque with a fuel consumption of only 5.5L/100km and 145g/km of CO2 emissions on the European combined cycle, this gives the F-Pace excellent fuel efficiency while still being able to go from 0-100kph in just 8.7 seconds.

For those looking for something with more power, the F-Pace is also avaiable in the 3.0-litre V6 supercharged petrol engines founded with the F-Type. Availble in either 340PS and 380PS all-aluminium powerplants, the V6 engines let the F-Pace go from 0-100kph in 5.8s and 5.5s respectively.

The Jaguar F-pace uses an optimised version of the ZF 8HP eight-speed automatic transmission, which features Jaguar's own Intelligent Driveline Dynamics (IDD) control system, which was first feveloped for the F-Type AWD. The system helps preserve rear-wheel drive agility and handling or increase the torque on the front axle for extra traction as necessary.

The F-Pace's all-wheel drive system can further be improved with the optional Adaptive Surface Response (ASR) technology. The ASR is integrated into the Jaguar's drive control system, and optimizes the mapping of the powertrain and dynamic stability control system based on the type of surface or terrain.

For an even smoother ride, the F-Pace is equipped with a variety of advanced driver assistance systems such as Jaguar's own All Surface Progress Control, which first became available with the Jaguar XE. This makes the F-Pace capable of getting much needed traction in low-grip surfaces within seconds. The optional adaptive cruise control system with queue assist allow easier control either when cruising or driving in heavy traffic.

The F-Pace will be available in four trim levels: Prestige, R-Sport, S, and First Edition, which is a special model meant to celebrate the launch of the new F-Pace. The First Edition is available in strictly limited numbers, and will only be in the first year of production. It will be available in two colors - Caesium Blue and Halcyon Gold - which clearly references the C-X17 concept unveiled at the 2013 Frankfurt and Guangzhou Motor Shows. Other notable features include 22-inch Double Helix 15-spoke wheels with grey finish, adaptive dynamics, LED headlights, gloss black fender vents, and a sliding panoramic roof.

Launch price for the F-Pace is available in the Jaguar showroom with a launch price starting from SGD 245,999, with 5-year servicing and guaranteed registration by July 2016.
