Hyundai Motor won this year's iF Design Award in "Product" discipline, under the Automobiles/Vehicles/Bikes category, making it the third consecutive iF Design Award for the brand and beating almost 5,000 entries from 53 countries. The event was Organized by iF International Forum Design GmbH

The Elantra

The all-new Elantra's "Modern Premium" look played a key role in winning this year's iF Design Award. Featuring refined style elements like a large hexagonal grille paired with sporty headlights and clean surfaces, the Elantra delivers a modern, sporty, but luxurious feel at a reasonable price point.

The Tucson

The other half of the winning equation, the all-new Tucson's design was centered about combining a Hyundai's compact SUV looks with a strong athletic presence. The Tucson also sports the hexagonal front grille, but this time connected to the LED headlamps, and the A-pillar and directional shape of the wheel arches work together to make the Tucson have a more dynamic appearance.

Complementing both the Elantra and the Tucson's stylish exteriors are the fresh interiors. Utilizing high-quality materials and design options as seen in the Tucson's center console layout completes the cars' elegant looks while also providing a sense of roominess.

Fluidic Sculpture 2.0

The winning designs for the Elantra and the Tucson are both products of Hyundai Motor's strategy, which stems from their "Fluidic Sculpture" philosophy. This strategy takes its inspiration from Mother Nature and turns the inspiration into a refined design through a series of unique process. Bridging the gap between art and automobile design, the "Fluidic Sculpture" philosophy has given Hyundai motors its unique design identity.

Starting from the launch of the Sonata back in 2009, Hyundai kept this particular approach to car design until the announcement of the improved Fluidic Sculpture 2.0, which was applied to newer models from 2013 onwards.
