This achievement highlighted Honda’s commitment for everyone to share the road safely and confidently, while enjoying the freedom of mobility.

Honda had eight models tested with ASEAN NCAP, and it achieved several excellent results and ratings. During this period, ASEAN NCAP has developed three roadmaps that are part of its protocols, namely 2012-2016, 2017-2020 and 2021-2025. Under the latest roadmap, it will cover four assessment domains comprising Adult Occupant Protection, Child Occupant Protection, Safety Assist and Motorcyclist Safety.

In conjunction with its 10-year anniversary, ASEAN NCAP announced awards for vehicle manufacturers that have excelled in various safety-related categories. Honda was the most successful manufacturer, attaining a total of six awards:

  • Best Forward-Facing Child Occupant Protection (2017-2020) - Honda Accord
  • Safety Technology Award - 2021 Honda Civic
  • Excellent Award (5-Stars) - 3rd to 5th generation Honda City
  • Excellent Award (5-Stars) - 9th to 11th generation Honda Civic
  • The Most 5-Star Car 2012-2016 (Adult Occupant Protection) - Honda
  • Best Road Safety Partner - Honda

Honda strives to continue providing safe and reliable vehicles and lead efforts to realise zero traffic collision fatalities involving Honda motorcycles and automobiles globally by 2050.

It is worth noting that the 2021 Honda Civic is the latest Honda to receive a 5-star ASEAN NCAP rating.
