Honda Civic Type R - Updated And Uprated!

Honda has refreshed their 5th iteration of their hotted-up Civic! Externally, this refresh manifests itself through newly restyled front and rear bumpers, with a promise of improved engine cooling, via a 13% increase in vent apertures. Body-coloured accents on both ends of the car also help to complete the facelift.

Inside, the updates include an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel, a restyled shift knob that promises excellent grip for rapid fire gear changes, with a suede shift boot rounding out the list of interior upgrades.

Holding said Alcantara wheel, you will feel the improved suspension. This new system uses three-chamber dampers that can adjust themselves through feedback provided by 3 different sensors mounted throughout the car itself for a more dynamic handling, should you request for it.

Improvements to engine and brake cooling further egg you on on spirited drives, and if that isn’t enough, the brakes themselves have also been swapped out for new, two-piece units, that, coupled with a more fade-resistant brake pads, further enhance driving dynamics.

Other additions include Active Sound Control (ASC), that enhances engine noise in accordance to your selected drive mode, a suite of safety features thanks to Honda Sensing, as well as a new exterior body colour, Racing Blue Pearl.
