F1: Vettel secures victory at Singapore Grand Prix 2013
Sebastian Vettel once again proves his dominance of the sport at the recently concluded Singapore Grand Prix. Pulling further away from the rest of the championship contenders. From start to finish, the young German kept up a punishing pace and even opened up a 32 second lead over former World Champion Fernando Alonso's Ferrari at one point. Of course questions remain if the German's dominance was derived from Adrian Newey's superb RB9 car or his driving. Our take of course is that both have combined to give the Redbull Racing Team their dominating lead this year. The three time World Champion drove a flawless race on Sunday evening even as his team mate Mark Webber suffered a disappointing engine failure during the race. Stranded on the track, his racing buddy Fernando Alonso gave him a lift back to the pits only to stoke the ire of race stewards who announced a 10th place grid penalty for Webber at the next race in Korea.
Another star perfromer from last night's race was Raikkonen who clawed his way back from 13th to a 3rd place podium finish after some brilliant driving behind Alonso.
With his winning tally at seven to date, the young German is well on his way to becoming the youngest four time World Champion by the time F1 reaches India or Abu Dhabi.
