Since its August 2024 launch, Curvistan Bangkok has become a destination for leisure and entertainment, merging car culture, art and design. Supported by Porsche Asia Pacific and Porsche Thailand, it serves as a bar, café, art gallery and community hub. The project is a collaboration between Curves magazine creator Stefan Bogner and entrepreneur Chanond Ruangkritya, who is also behind the forthcoming Porsche Design Tower - in Thai speak, just across the “soi” along Sukhumvit 38.

Michael Mauer, Vice President Style Porsche, has led Porsche's design vision for 20 years, overseeing the creation of daring and innovative concept cars. For the first time in Thailand, a collection of these "Unseen" designs is exhibited under one roof, making it a must-see destination for Porsche and design enthusiasts.

“Vision Spyder”

The star attraction has to be the “Vision Spyder,” a full-scale concept reimagining a modern, compact roadster. Inspired by the lightweight design of 1950s Porsche models, especially the 550 Spyder that won the 1954 Carrera Panamericana, it showcases a minimalist cockpit, mid-engine layout with a flat radiator grille, red racing stripes and rear fins.

Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade

Editor James was one of the first to see it up close at Zuffenhausen, way before it made its way to Singapore. Now, the Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade will call Curvistan Bangkok home, ahead of its December debut in Thailand. Designed through Porsche's Sonderwunsch program, it features bespoke details and mythical Southeast Asian-inspired symbols. Its standout Chromaflair paint shifts colours under changing light, highlighting its unique design.

Macan’s overland design experiment

The exhibition also features 1:3 scale concept models such as the Macan "Vision Safari," an off-road SUV experiment; the "Vision 918 RS" and "Vision 920" hypercar concepts, and the "Vision E," a design imagining a Formula E car adapted for customer racing.

“Porsche Unseen Design Studies” exhibition will run from 22 November 2024 until 28 February 2025. Entry is free, and the venue is open Monday to Sunday from 08:00 to 18:00.
