CUPRA Launches Electric Born Hatchback And Tavascan SUV Coupe In Singapore
Born and Tavascan starts from S$195,900 and S$209,900 respectively.

CUPRA has made its presence felt in Singapore with a grand launch at Design Orchard, following the opening of CUPRA Centre Singapore earlier this month. The event featured performances, presentations by CUPRA executives and the unveiling of CUPRA Born and Tavascan EVs.
Tell me more about the CUPRA Born hatchback
Born is the brand’s first all-electric model, and Singapore will receive the CUPRA Born e-Boost. It's built on VW Group’s MEB platform, delivering up to 170kW (231PS) with a 59kWh battery and a WLTP range of up to 428km. Fast charging enables 100km of range in 7 minutes.
Designed for an engaging drive, it features progressive steering, larger brakes and 20-inch alloy wheels. The interior offers bucket seats, a 12.9-inch infotainment screen, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and a 7-speaker sound system.

There’s a more powerful Born VZ, too
Born VZ is the most powerful variant. "VZ," short for Veloz (Spanish for "fast"), reflects its dynamic character.

It delivers 240kW (326PS) and 545Nm to the rear wheels, with a WLTP range of up to 599km.

Key highlights include Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) Sport, 20-inch forged "Tornado" alloy wheels, Enceladus Grey Sabelt Cup bucket seats and a premium 10-speaker Sennheiser sound system.
What about the Tavascan SUV coupe?
Built on the MEB platform, the first available variant, the Tavascan Endurance, features rear-wheel drive with a 210kW (286PS) electric motor and 545Nm of torque. A 77kWh lithium-ion battery provides a WLTP range of up to 568km.

Dual motor, AWD Tavascan VZ available, too
It features selectable chassis setups through the DCC Sport system, progressive steering and 21" alloy wheels.

With dual-motor all-wheel drive, the Tavascan VZ offers maximum traction and a WLTP range of 521km, powered by a 77kWh battery.

The interior boasts a 15" infotainment system, the largest ever in a CUPRA, and a new Human Machine Interface (HMI). A 12-speaker Sennheiser sound system and panoramic glass roof are also included.
How much are they?
CUPRA Singapore is hosting its first roadshow at VivoCity from 17 March, showcasing both Born and Tavascan. The Born starts at S$195,900 for the e-Boost variant and S$225,900 for the VZ. The Tavascan Endurance is priced from S$209,900, with the Tavascan VZ starting at S$229,900.
