COEs in For November's First Bidding Exercise, Cat A Goes Up

This afternoon saw 4,261 successful bids out of a total of 6,193 received during the second bidding exercise of November for Certificates of Entitlement (COEs). Category A COEs have gone up by more than $1,600.   Listed here, are our results:

Quota of 1,929 @ $52,668, up from $50,991

Category A (cars 1,600cc and below, and have a maximum power of 130bhp),


Quota of 1,347 @$56,206, down from $56,410

Category B (cars above 1,600cc, and have a more than 130bhp),


Quota of 185 @ $48,001, up from $45,589

The commercial vehicle category C,


Quota of 399 @ $6,311, down from $6,354

Motorcycle category D,


Quota of 401 @ $56,000, down from $56,340

Open category E,

As with the previous bidding exercise, the trend in the low number of COEs offered, are due to the trend of owners choosing to keep their cars longer.

Bids can be submitted through the Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) of DBS/POSB, the Internet Banking facility of UOB, or via the OCBC phone banking services.

The bid deposit for COEs in Categories A, B, C and E is $10,000 per bid while that for Category D is $200 per bid.
