COEs for A, B and Open Categories Finish Largely the Same in May's First Bidding Exercise. Commercial Category Certificates Quotas Continue in-Trend, But With More Quotas Released.

This month saw 5,293 successful bids received during the month’s second bidding exercise for Certificates of Entitlement (COEs). Category C quota premium continues in-trend, due to the mass scrapping of commercial vehicles over the last quarter.

Quota of 1,905 @ $51,106, down from $51,600,

Category A (cars 1,600cc and below, and have a maximum power of 130bhp),


Quota of 1,320 @ $55,414, up from $54,406,

Category B (cars above 1,600cc, and have a more than 130bhp),


Quota of 1,084 @ $26,209, down from $26,501,

Commercial vehicle Category C,


Quota of 455 @ $6,301, down from $6,712,

Motorcycle Category D,


Quota of 529 @ $55,000, up from $54,616,

Open Category E (All but motorcycles),

Bids can be submitted through the Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) of DBS/POSB, the Internet Banking facility of UOB, or via the OCBC phone banking services.

The bid deposit for COEs in Categories A, B, C and E is $10,000 per bid while that for Category D is $200 per bid.
