COEs for A, B and Open Categories Finish Largely the Same in April's Second Bidding Exercise. Commercial Category Certificates Quotas Significantly Lower!

This month saw 4,413 successful bids out of a total of 6,175 received during the month’s second bidding exercise for Certificates of Entitlement (COEs). Category C quota premium has dropped significantly, due to the mass scrapping of commercial vehicles over the last quarter.

Quota of 2,052 @ $51,600, up from $52,000,

Category A (cars 1,600cc and below, and have a maximum power of 130bhp),


Quota of 1,369 @ $54,406, up from $54,405,

Category B (cars above 1,600cc, and have a more than 130bhp),


Quota of 163 @ $26,501, down from $45,906,

Commercial vehicle Category C,


Quota of 347 @ $6,712, down from $7,589,

Motorcycle Category D,


Quota of 482 @ $54,616, up from $54,556,

Open Category E,

Bids can be submitted through the Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) of DBS/POSB, the Internet Banking facility of UOB, or via the OCBC phone banking services.

The bid deposit for COEs in Categories A, B, C and E is $10,000 per bid while that for Category D is $200 per bid.
